Our Tokyo Trip (photos + a video!)

Last week, Jason and I celebrated our second anniversary with the trip of a lifetime: seven days in Tokyo! We wandered our way through most of the city, ate everything we could find, and checked off our entire Tokyo bucket list and then some. I've compiled some of my favorite snapshots of our week, plus a little vacation video, if you'd like to see:

One of my favorite parts of Japanese fashion is how much they love to wear (poorly translated) English! I may have bought one or two really good ones to bring home as souvenirs ;)

Currently Craving: Fall Accessories

The air is finally a bit cooler in Texas, and I've been able to pull out my sweaters and start layering a little. While I don't need many new fall or winter pieces (notice I used the word "need"), a fun way to give my wardrobe a fresh & versatile look for less is by adding a few new accessories for fall! And of course, my favorite store's online inventory offers up SO many adorable options. Here are a few of the fall accessories I'm currently craving from TJ Maxx:

Style Revival!

One of the things I'm most looking forward to about being done with school: having time to put together outfits again! I have to admit, being focused on classes and graduating means I haven't put nearly as much effort into my personal style as I used to. That's not to say I've been wearing sweat pants and t-shirts (God forbid!), but skinny jeans and ballet flats have turned into daily staples. I'm starting work soon, and while working at a place like Neiman Marcus is reason enough to put together more stylish combinations, I decided to further motivate myself by picking out a few new pieces to add to the mix. Moving to a new state, though, means I can't spend a lot. So what better place to pick out key pieces that are on-trend AND in budget than TJ Maxx? I got a few pieces in black and white, which are big colors for fall, as well as some chic classics in navy and cream.

Fall always feels so refreshing and new! Do you have any self-improvement goals? And what fall trends are you excited for?

I'd like to thank the Academy...

...for a glamour-filled girls' night on the couch with my roommate! Believe it or not, it was actually my first time watching the Oscars. Here's a few of the looks I loved from last night:

My favorite part of the night, though, has to be the stage appearance of Angelina Jolie's leg. How... odd. And when I found someone's photoshopped version of brangelina's red carpet photo on tumblr, I just had to laugh my face off. And then share it with you.

More Oscar-themed bits & pieces: Who else loved Jim Rash's impersonation of Angelina? When we saw that, we lost it. More odd moments at the 2012 Academy Awards Baby reenactments of the Best Picture Oscar nominees- Cutest. Thing. Ever.
